Unofficial: IPL 2020 postponed!

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unofficially postponed the Indian Premiere League (IPL). Initially the IPL was supposed to start on March 29th but with Corona virus just started to spread its wings, BCCI has pushed the start to April 15th.

And as the date arrived, the Corona virus threat is peaks in the country currently and under these circumstances it is impossible to hold the tournament. The BCCI has held talks with the franchises and reportedly confirmed that the IPL is postponed.

However, the official announcement is yet to arrive. As T20 cricket world cup is scheduled later this year in Australia, BCCI is mulling to hold IPL before the world cup so that it would give a good exposure to the team India players and young talent.
