The Corona cases in the country are on the surge over the last few days. In the last 24 hours, 8171 new cases have been filed and this is for the second consecutive time that the cases have crossed eight thousand mark. The total cases are now at 1,98,706 and this means the cases are almost nearing two lakhs.
Also 204 people have died in the last 24 hours and the total death count is 5608. The union health ministry in their daily bulletin stated that 97,581 are the active cases while 95,526 people have recovered of the virus and got discharged.
The state of Maharashtra has the high number of cases with over 70,000 while Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat are the next states with 23,495, 20,834 and 17,200 cases respectively.
The total cases in Telangana state are 2792 and in AP, the cases count is 3200.
