Cricket and Films are considered two big religions in India. Fans often treat their favorite actors and cricketers as demi-gods. They take everything related to their idols personally. So, many people try not to hurt the sentiments of fans. However, young cricketer Nitish Rana found himself in controversy and is now facing the wrath of Yuvraj Singh’s fans.

Yuvraj is one of the iconic cricketers who represented Team India. He played a crucial role in India’s victorious 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup campaigns. He represented India in 304 ODIs and made 8701 ones. He is one of the finest all-rounders that our country has ever produced.

Yuvraj is known for his never-say-die attitude. Be it on-field or off-the-field, he is known for not giving up. Such mentality made him succeed over cancer as well. Even after recovering from cancer, Yuvraj made a successful comeback into the team.

All these factors helped Yuvraj is amassing a huge following among Indian cricket fans. Even though he is retired now, there are many fans who love him. They are now upset with Nitish Rana.

The reason for their anger is Rana’s jersey number. Rana is one of the players who are in the Indian squad that is playing in Sri Lanka right now. In the team photoshoot pictures, Rana is seen wearing Jersey No.12.

Yuvraj wore a No.12 jersey for a long time in his career. Thus, fans associate him with it. They are unable to see Rana wearing the same jersey number. Hence, they started trolling the young cricketer on social media. Even though he didn’t commit any mistake, Rana is now facing the wrath of Yuvi fans.

Meanwhile, some sections of netizens are demanding BCCI discontinue such numbers which were worn by legendary cricketers in the past. MS Dhoni’s Jersey No.7 is also included in the demand.
