Nearly 100 sand trucks were stuck in the flood ramp in Krishna district and there is a sign of danger that all the trucks might get washed away if the flood intensifies.
Going into details, the huge sand ramp at Chevetikallu operates hundreds of trucks every day. Due to incessant rains, the Munneru river that flows nearby to the ramp, witnessed a flood situation all of a sudden. Due to heavy water flow nearly 100 trucks were unable to move out of the ramp and eventually they got logged in the sand with heavy intensification of water flow.
Learning about this, the officials have reached the spot and evacuated the drivers of the trucks using boats. A close watch on the river flow is being monitored and depending upon the situation, the officials are planning to free the stuck trucks. But they are sceptical that the situation may take two or three days.
Visuals of the trucks stuck in the river and drivers being rescued are caught on the camera and we see a big line of trucks amidst the flowing water while boats carrying drivers.
