Indira Park at Lower Tank Bund in Hyderabad invites a lot of visitors during the evening hours of the day. On Wednesday a banner at the park entrance caught everyone’s attention.
“Unmarried Couple Are Not Allowed Inside The Park,” was written on the banner. A picture of this has been posted on social media and it went viral. There have always been numerous reports on the activities at Indira Park and many times, they made it to the headlines. From the media reports it was park in-charge Satya Dev who was responsible for establishing this banner at the park.
But this banner did not go down well with visitors who noticed it and there was a huge outrage among the public. Visitors showed their disappointment to the park management and eventually the GHMC stepped into the scene.
On Thursday evening, GHMC removed the banner and expressed its regret for setting up this banner but it did not take any action against park in-charge Satya Dev. However GHMC stated that they are increasing the police vigilance inside the park.
