Hrithik’s Zomato Ad Leaves Twitterati In Fury

Food delivery app Zomato now falls into trouble after its latest ads featuring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif. The video shows Zomato delivery boy delivering the food ordered by Hrithik despite heavy rain. Calling him ‘Jadoo’, Hrithik praises the man for his work in all weather conditions.

Later, Hrithik offers to take a selfie with the delivery executive and goes inside the house to get his phone. Just then, the man gets a notification on his mobile for another order. He leaves to ensure that his next delivery happens on time. The motto here is the delivery on time irrespective of weather and several other factors.

However, the ad seems to be not impressive to a few sections of people. Zomato is already facing criticism for its treatment of the staff and the company is being slammed for showing ”so-called” fabricated message through this ad.

Viewers argued that Zomato should invest less in Bollywood celebrities and focus more on ensuring the well-being of its employees. They commented that they should be adequately compensated for working in bad weather conditions. A similar ad was shot with Katrina Kaif as well.

To the unversed, the delivery workers of Zomato took to social media some time ago to protest against their constantly battled job insecurity, variable pay, a low base pay, lack of long-distance return bonuses, and alleged absence of the first-mile pay.
