Three Popular Balika Vadhu Actors Who Passed Away

Sidharth Shukla fans woke up to the saddest news ever today. Popular television and film actor died on Thursday (September 2) due to a heart attack. He was 40.

The winner of Bigg Boss Season 13 was best known for his role in the famous daily soap, Balika Vadhu. Soon after his death, episode 1157 from Balika Vadhu trends on social media which shows the actor’s role, Shivraj Alok Sekhar’s death.

Sidharth’s death has now made netizens recall the tragic demise of his co-star in the serial, Pratyusha Banerjee. The lead actress in the serial Pratyusha died by suicide on April 1, 2016. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her residence. Now that both the lead actors of the popular serial died, fans are mourning the loss of the stars.

During Sidharth’s Bigg Boss journey, the actor was seen speaking about Pratyusha to his girlfriend, Shehnaaz Gill. He became emotional remembering her. Adding to the pain, in July, another ‘Balika Vadhu’ star Surekha Sikri had died at the age of 75. The three-time national award winner breathed her last after suffering from cardiac arrest.

Balika Vadhu was a popular serial in India that intended to create awareness of the negative impacts of marrying children off at young ages, besides showing the importance of education and other social issues.
