Ever since Neeraj Chopra penned history by winning India’s only gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, many interviews were taken leaving Neeraj with a plethora of questions that we all loved to hear about. But least do we want to know about his sex life and the 23-year-old faced an uncomfortable situation when an art historian crossed the curious line.
Art historian Rajeev Sethi tried to quiz the Olympic medallist about his sex life, and he faced severe backlash on social media for the inappropriate question. The viral video shows Sethi asking Neeraj Chopra how he managed to maintain a balance between his athletic training and sex life. “Kitne sundar naujawan hain aapat (such a good-looking guy you are) he started the question.
He further said the “bahut behuda question hain, magar pooch hi leta hoon” (It is an idiotic question, but anyway, I will ask it) saying that many people also want to ask the question but are hesitating to do so. Neeraj Chopra, looking visibly uncomfortable, refused to answer the question. “Sorry sir, I have said sorry,” he responded.
He was asked once again and Neeraj was quite serious and he refused again. Neeraj had cut off Sethi talking and said “Please sir, aapke question se mera man bhar gaya hai (Please sir, I am done with your questions).” Even the host tried to stop Sethi and said “Neeraj is not willing to answer your question”.
The video has gone viral with over 4 lakh views on Twitter and netizens slammed Sethi for not treating the athlete with respect.
