The country is still mourning the death of 20 Indian soldiers in the clashes between Indian Army and Chinese PLA. Family members of slain Colonel Santosh Babu visited Krishna River and offered his ashes to the river on Saturday.
Post this, Colonel Santosh Babu’s wife Santhoshi spoke to the media and added she would send her kids to the army if they wish too. “I will bring my kids up in their father’s footsteps and I will tell them about his service to the nation and achievements. In case if both Abhignya and Anirudh wish to go to the army after their studies, I will certainly encourage them. Colonel Santosh always dreamt of contributing to the nation,” said Santhoshi.
On the announcement of Rs 5 crore as ex-gratia by Telangana CM KCR, Santhoshi thanked the CM and also welcomed the decision of financial assistance to the 19 other soldiers who were martyred in the clashes.
Santhoshi expressed her gratitude to minister Jagadeesh Reddy for being handy during the hard times in their family.
