Police and medical care are the frontline warriors of the Covid-19. They are doing restless service since lockdown and are still fighting against all odds. However, they are falling victims of the virus and especially the police department.
In Maharashtra police department, 140 new cases were filed in the last 24 hours while the total cases are nearing 4000. Coming to the Telangana police department, 190 positive cases are reported from the Hyderabad police department. Among them 26 police officials are from Banjara Hills P.S.
Also two DG level officers working at Telangana DGP office have tested positive of the virus while three IPS officers went into self-isolation as they showed symptoms of the virus.
Under these circumstances, DGP Mahender Reddy issued fresh guidelines of wearing masks and other protective kits as mandatory.
