In a record, India has surpassed five lakh Covid-19 cases. In the last 24 hours, 18,552 new positive cases have been filed and the total number of cases went up to 5,08,953. Also crossing 18,000 mark is a new unwanted milestone and highest so far.
384 deaths have been posted in the 24 hours and the total death count is 15,689. The active cases among the total is 1,97,387 and the discharged people are 2,95,881. ICMR claimed that it has so far tested over 79 Lakh people and yesterday it performed tests to 2.20 Lakh people.
The Telugu states too are recording to highest number of cases everyday. Telangana has posted 985 new cases yesterday and the total cases went up to 12,349 while the deaths are 237.
In Andhra Pradesh, the cases count is 11,489 and 146 people have died.
