Just In: Three Omicron variant cases reported in Telangana

The cases of Omicron variant of Covid-19 are growing in the country. Currently the total cases of Omicron variant stand at 61 and in a big breaking news, Telangana has reported three cases.

A 24 year old female traveler from Kenya arrived in Hyderabad on December 12th and she tested positive for the virus. After testing positive, the officials sent her samples for genome sequencing and the officials confirmed that it is an Omicron variant.

The second case is of a 23 year old traveler from Somalia and the health officials have identified the person and also isolated the close contacts and sent their samples for detecting the variant.

In the third case, a 7 year old detected an Omicron variant. He has a travel history of West Bengal. The state government of Bengal was alerted to the same.

Currently all the three are admitted to TIMS hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
