India has surpassed Russia to become the third worst hit county of the global pandemic Covid-19. In the last 24 hours, 24,248 positive cases have been reported and the total cases count stands at 6,97,413 which means India is just short of three thousands cases for the seven Lakh mark.
425 people have died yesterday and the death toll is also nearing 20,000 mark. Currently the total death count is 19,693. India is just behind USA and Brazil in the total cases while in the death charts, it is at eight place.
The active cases count is 2,53,287 while the number of people discharge is 4,24,432 and the recovery rate is 60.77 percent.
Telangana reported nearly 24,000 positive cases while Andhra Pradesh has 16,000 odd cases.
