There were many reports in the media that private hospitals in Telangana are charging a bomb for the treatment of Corona virus. Some incidents wherein these private hospitals refused to give the corpse of patients post their death and asked the family members to pay Lakhs of bill and take the body.
On Tuesday the Telangana High Court fumed over this and asked the Telangana government what kind of action was taken against these private hospitals. In view of this, the Telangana government has taken a decision and it is to provide free of cost of Corona treatment in private medical colleges.
Malla Reddy, Mamata and Kamineni medical colleges were picked by the Telangana government and asked these colleges to give free of cost treatment to Corona patients. However conditions would apply for this but the government did not disclose whether it would pay to these private colleges on behalf of patients.
A clarity on Telangana government’s decision is needed.
