One recent incident involving a car in an accident which has an MLA sticker on it, has led Hyderabad Police to take some quick action on the usage of such stickers. And guess what, they are not even leaving their own department folks when it comes to implementing the law to make sure that the public gets the message that everyone is equal in the eyes of law.
Today, Hyderabad Police launched a drive where they would remove the stickers like MLA, Press, Advocate and Police as well. Usually, these stickers should be pasted on official vehicles only, but then every family member or the private vehicles used by these officials and specialists could be seen bearing those names. Police Department has shared pictures of police personnel removing the sticker “Police” from a Bolero vehicle, thus making their message loud and clear.
Coming to “Press”, many people who are not even journalists but actually work in media houses usually paste the sticker ‘Press’ on their bikes and cars, and police are now taking strict action on such vehicles. One wonders why did it took so long to enforce this rule, but actually it will be a good move to do so, as all vehicles will be equal in the eyes of law now.
On the other side, black tinted glasses of cars is also prohibited and even celebrities like Jr NTR and Allu Arjun were also fined, and their black screens got removed by the police department when caught.
