Viral Video: FM Sitharaman’s Gesture Wins Hearts

In a viral incident Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman offered a glass of water to Managing Director of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), Padmaja Chunduru, who was giving a speech.

NSDL marked its 25 years and the silver jubilee event was held in Mumbai. FM Nirmala Sitharaman was the chief guest of this event and while Padmaja Chunduru was giving a speech on the achievements and contributions by NSDL, she asked for a glass of water.

Padmaja was finding it difficult while addressing the gathering and Nirmala who was seated on the stage, noticed this and walked up to Padmaja with a glass and a water bottle. Touched by the gesture, Padmaja thanked FM Nirmala. The spectators at this event erupted in clapping for the finance minister’s gentle gesture.

The video went viral and netizens appreciated the kindness of Nirmala Sitharaman despite being in one of the highest constitutional positions.
