Cricket: Rayudu bids goodbye to IPL

Telugu cricketer Ambati Rayudu has announced that the IPL 2022 will be his last after playing for 13 long years. Rayudu was initially with the rebel league Indian Cricket League (ICL) and then ventured into the IPL. He joined Mumbai Indians in 2010 and he proved his mettle has valuable player.

With huge success for Mumbai Indians franchise, Rayudu earned a place in the Indian cricket team too. Till 2017, Rayudu was part of Mumbai Indians team and in 2018, he joined Chennai Super Kings. In CSK, Rayudu emerged as one of the crucial middle order batsmen and even was part of CSK’s winning the trophy of IPL.

In 2021 CSK released Rayudu for the mega auction but the Chennai franchise showed faith in him and bought him for Rs 6.75 crore.
