After the CBI filing a case against GVK group and owners, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has stepped into the scene. On Tuesday, the ED has raided offices of GVK at Mumbai, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Bengaluru.
GVK was allegedly involved in irregularities of Rs 805 crore in running the Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL), in which it is a majority shareholder. The CBI has lodged an FIR against GVK groups found G Venkata Krishna Reddy and his son Sanjay Reddy.
In the FIR, it was mentioned that the GVK promoters used MIAL funds for booking air tickets and hotel stay of family members. After filing the FIR, the CBI too held a search operation at GVK offices.
And now the ED has held raids at nine offices of GVK located in several cities.
