So far India has made many records when it comes to total number of cases, total number of deaths and single day spikes in connection with the global pandemic Covid-19. But India has another record which speaks the good side and it is about the recoveries.
Over 15 Lakh people have recovered from Covid-19 ever since the outbreak and India’s recovery rate has jumped to 68 percent.
Freshly 62,064 new positive cases have been reported but the total cases have crossed the 22 Lakh mark. Currently the total cases tally is at 22,15,075 including 6,34,945 active cases and 15,35,744 cured/discharged.
Also for the first India has reported over a thousand Covid-19 deaths in a single. 1007 people have died of the virus and this led the total death tally to hit the 44K mark. Currently the total death count is at 44,386.
4.77 samples were tested yesterday while as of August 9th, 2.45 crore samples were tested, claimed ICMR.
