Actress Politician Sonali Phogat passed away due to cardiac arrest today in Goa. Sonali Phogat was also a contestant in Bigg Boss 14. She was 42.
Sonali complained about uneasiness to her staff and then immediately rushed to the hospital. She was at a restaurant in Anjuna and was taken to St Anthony hospital in Goa.
Goa Police chief said to the media that there are no external injury marks on the body and the cause of death is established as a heart attack but further medical examination is on.
Sonali Phogat contested the 2019 Haryana election from Adampur as a BJP candidate. Sonali shot to fame with her TikTok videos and she debuted as a TV anchor in 2006 before joining the BJP.
Sonali has a daughter, Yashodhara Phogat. Her Husband Sanjay Phogat passed away at 42 in 2016 at their farmhouse.
Meanwhile, Sonali Phogat’s sister claims the actress’ food was poisoned. The Goa police ruled out anything suspicious. The postmortem is likely to take place on August 24.
