India has breached into the 23 Lakh mark of Covid-19 cases. In the last 24 hours, 60,963 new positive cases have been reported and the total cases count stands at 23,29,639. Also India has stepped into the 46K mark of Covid-19 deaths.
834 people have died of the virus yesterday and the total death tally went up to 46,091. India is just behind Great Britain in the most Covid-19 deaths and by tomorrow, India will go past it. Among the total cases, 6,43,948 are active cases while 16,39,600 people got cured/discharged.
7.33 Lakh samples were tested yesterday and this is the biggest testing so far. As of August 11th, 2,60,15,297 samples were tested, said ICMR in its daily statement.
Telangana has reported 1897 new cases in the last 24 hours and the total cases are at 84,544 and the active cases count is 22,596. 654 deaths have been reported from the state.
