Cyrus Mistry, Former Tata Sons Chairman Dies In Accident

Former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry was killed in a road accident on Sunday. The business fraternity is shocked to learn about this tragedy. The accident took place when Cyrus Mistry’s car hit a divider in Maharashtra’s Palghar district.

Cyrus Mistry was traveling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in his Mercedes car. The car accident happened around 3.15 PM on a bridge over the Surya river.

Two other persons, including the car driver who was traveling with Cyrus Mistry were injured and they have been shifted to a hospital in Gujarat.

Cyrus Mistry’s ousting from Tata Sons garnered a lot of public attention. After multiple years-long courtroom battles, Supreme Court ruled in 2021 that Cyrus’s ouster was legal and also upheld Tata Sons’ rules on minority shareholder rights.
