Watch: PM Modi carries mortal remains of mother Heeraben

Prime Minister Narendra Modi suffered a personal loss with his 100 years old mother, Heeraben Modi breathing her last on Friday morning.

PM Modi reached Ahmedabad early morning learning about his mother’s demise. The funeral followed and Modi carried the mortal remains of Heeraben after the corpse was shifted to a crematorium.

Modi being the elder of the family, he performed the last rites rituals. 

Modi lived with his mother and younger brother Prahlad in Raysan village near Gandhinagar. After becoming PM, Modi visited his mother regularly and spent quality time with her.
