Japanese Woman Groped & Harassed In Holi Celebrations

A 22-year-old Japanese girl was harassed by a group of people in India during Holi. The video emerged on the internet and many celebrities called for strict action against the accused.

The woman is seen groped, harassed, and manhandled by the local men and they were seen making chants of ‘Holi Hai’. One of them smeared colors on her by grabbing her and another boy smashed an egg on her head.

The woman tried to escape the group before she was pushed. A man tried to hold her and she slapped him before moving away from them. She was drenched in colors. The incident reportedly happened in Paharganj and there was no complaint or call relating to any kind of misbehavior with any foreigner has been received in the Pahargunj police station.

‘An e-mail has been sent to the Japanese embassy requesting help in establishing the identity of the girl or any other detail about the incident,’ the police said in a statement. The police are trying to identify the boys seen in the video.

In another similar incident, a foreign woman was groped and harassed by local men in the name of Holi and she asked all the women to stay at home on Holi if they are on their own. She even revealed how the local men groped her by her private parts.
