After a month of officially announcing that it has prepared the Covid-19 vaccine – Sputnik V, Russia has now released the vaccine into the market for commercial sale. The health ministry of Russia has acknowledged this and added that the vaccine showed positive results in all the stages and so they have released the vaccine into the market.
However, this vaccine will be available only in Russia and will not be exported to other countries for unknown reasons. Meanwhile India has received the data of Russian vaccine and scientists are scrutinizing the data and it might be helpful for the trials being conducted in the country.
On the other hand, India has reported 75,809 new positive cases and 1133 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total cases count is 42,80,423 and total death count is 72,775. The active cases count is 8,83,697 and 33,23,951 people got cured of the virus.
India has gone past the 5 crore mark of testing. A total of 5,06,50,128 samples have been tested as of September 7th including 10,98,621 samples yesterday.
