Why Is #GarbageChetanBhagat Trending?

Whatever you do on Twitter, gets the response in both the ways, positive and negative. And during these Covid-19 times, most people are sticking to their social media sites all the time, as they are working from home. And ace writer and novelist Chetan Bhagat experienced the ire of netizens again, as the hashtag #GarbageChetanBhagat started to trend.

Apparently Chetan Bhagat has tweeted today after the arrest of Rhea Chakraborthy that middle class people are only bothered about sensational gossip but not the reality of the country’s economy, GDP crash and other subjects. He stated that most of the people from this group either work in Govt jobs or have their kids working there, and as those institutions don’t implement salary cuts as well as no question of losing jobs, these people tend to enjoy gossip.

“If you want the Indians to care about the economy or country’s other issues, cut the jobs in the Public Sector and watch the fun” Chetan Bhagat further tweeted. Reacting angrily on his Tweets, many started to trend #GarbageChetanBhagat as they say that it is public sector doctors and healthcare workers who are fighting against corona in the frontline.

Some even commented that Chetan Bhagat studied in govt schools, IITs run by the government as his father is in army and mother an agriculture department employee, but never worked for Indian Govt or Indian companies as he flew abroad to stash more money that private corporate companies offer.

Anyway, Chetan Bhagat says, he expected the fireworks but then asks TV channels to talk about minor issues in the country like GDP Crash and Covid-19 pandemic.
