A U-Haul truck rammed the gates of the White House and the driver intentionally crashes into it from the outside on Monday at around 10 pm.
The USSecret Service and US Park Police revealed that the driver has been identified as 19-year-old Sai Varshith Kandula of Chesterfield, Missouri.
Investigators apparently found a Nazi flag with belongings inside the truck.
Sai Varshith Kandula was arrested in connection with the incident on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, threatening to kill/kidnap/inflict harm on a President/VP/family member, destruction of federal property, and trespassing.
Meanwhile, the reports emerge that Kandula told law enforcement that ‘he wanted to seize power, take over the government and kill the president.’
The Secret Services is reportedly looking into the neo-Nazi sympathies Kandula may have and also into his ‘mental health component’ regarding the attack.
Amid the incident and the arrest of Kandula Sai Varshith, many on Twitter expressed their opinion that this is a clear case of photo op.
