Keeping up his announcement made in April this year, Elon Musk launched his new AI company called ‘X.AI Corp’. Musk earlier said that he wanted to start a venture for ‘maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe’.
Without revealing many details about his AI company, Elon Musk tweeted, ‘Announcing formation of @xAI to understand reality’.
The company webpage mentions that the team will host a Twitter Spaces chat on Friday, July 14th, though there is no specific time given. Musk’s new company reportedly bought thousands of GPUs earlier this year for a Twitter-related AI Project and it is still unclear if X.AI is that project.
It looks like Elon Musk launched X.AI as a third option to challenge OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard with his X.AI.
The X.AI team is headed by Elon Musk and includes team members that have worked at other AI giants like OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, and DeepMind.
