However, BCCI made sure to conduct the tournament at any cost as there are many stakes involved in the league. Just like the IPL 2014, this season will be held in the United Arab Emirates.

The inaugural match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians will be held in Abu Dhabi tomorrow.

There will be 60 matches in total, and the finals will be held on November 10. Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, and Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah will be hosting the 56 league matches. The venues for the playoffs are yet to be decided. The final will be held on November 10. No crowd will be allowed at the stadiums this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
