India has achieved a milestone in the recoveries of Covid-19. Over one lakh people have recovered in a single day and this is the biggest number so far in terms of getting cured. The Union Health Ministry has officially acknowledged with this a tweet. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka posted the maximum number of recoveries with 32,007, 10,502 and 9925 respectively.
The overall recovered figures from September 21st to 22nd is 1,01,468. India’s recovery rate is 80.86 percent and fatality rate is 1.60 percent. Also the country’s testing capacity has crossed 6.5 crore including 9,33,185 samples getting tested yesterday.
On the other hand, India has reported 75,083 new cases and total cases touched the 55 lakh mark. After more than a week, the new cases have dropped below 80K for the first time. The total case tally stands at 55, 62,664 including 9,75,861 active cases and 44,97,868 recoveries.
Once again over 1K deaths are reported in a single day and the total death tally is 88,935.
