A former Bigg Boss contestant Kriti Verma has been named in the ₹263 crore TDS refund scam. The Enforcement Directorate has filed a comprehensive chargesheet in the scam implicating 14 persons including Kriti Verma.
Kriti Verma is a former GST inspector and she shot to fame with her TV shows like Bigg Boss and MTV Roadies. The chargesheet also mentions Kriti Verma’s relationship with other accused like Bhushan Patil and Rajesh Shetty. Kriti Verma recently sold a property that she is believed to have acquired using ₹1.02 crore scam money in Gurugram.
The funds from this scam were allegedly distributed to various bank accounts with M/s SB Enterprises, owned by Bhushan Anant Patil. The funds acquired by the accused in this scam have been used in real estate of Lonavala, Khandala, Karjat, Pune, and Udipi and luxury flats in Panvel and Mumbai.
The alleged mastermind in the case is former income Tax inspector Tanaji Mandal Adhikari who is said to have gained access to RSA tokens and logins of higher ranking authorities.
