In a weird accident, a woman was shot in the head by police during her passport verification in Uttar Pradesh.
The incident took place in Aligarh of Uttar Pradesh at around 2:50 pm when the woman visited the police station for her passport verification. The Sub-Inspector was cleaning the pistol and it accidentally fired at the woman causing her to fall to the ground.
The CCTV camera recorded the whole incident. The injured woman was immediately taken to JN Medical College and she is in critical condition now. The Senior Superintendent of Police Kalanidhi Naithani said the bullet was hit on the backside of the woman’s head.
The SI was suspended with immediate effect and a criminal case has been registered against him. The SI is currently absconding.
