Festival Special: Hyderabad Looks Deserted!

Sankranthi 2024 has kick-started in the Telugu states with the release of new films at the ticket windows. Already, the government declared the holidays for educational institutions, leaving the festive buzz in the air. Surprisingly, a lot of people staying in Hyderabad are heading to their homes, to celebrate the festival.

The onlookers observed that there was heavy traffic jam on the national highways connecting Hyderabad to the other cities of the Telugu states. For two days, huge traffic has been witnessed at several important junctions as well as the outer ring road.

Sankranthi is usually celebrated in a grand manner in Andhra Pradesh and all those who settled in Hyderabad are now heading to their homes to celebrate the festival. Because of this, Hyderabad roads look deserted in many areas. In many other locations, the houses are locked on the account of Sankranthi vacation.

The traffic cops are working on ensuring a smooth flow and movement of the vehicles to avoid inconvenience to the public.
