Published by

In a monumental operation, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) collaborated with the Indian Navy and the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) to intercept a boat off the coast of Gujarat, seizing a staggering 3,300 kg of drugs.

This marks the largest narcotics bust in the Indian subcontinent’s history, with an estimated international market value exceeding Rs 2,000 crore. The seized cache, labeled as “Produce of Pakistan,” comprises 3,089 kg of cannabis, 158 kg of methamphetamine, and 25 kg of morphine.

Five suspected Pakistani crew members were arrested in connection with the smuggling, and investigations are ongoing to determine the origin and destination of the contraband.

This remarkable success underscores the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies in upholding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a drug-free Bharat.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the NCB, Navy, and Gujarat Police for their relentless dedication to combatting the drug trade, reaffirming the government’s unwavering commitment to curbing drug proliferation.

The seized boat, along with the drugs and detained crew members, has been brought to Porbandar, Gujarat, as the investigation continues to unravel the intricate network behind this significant smuggling attempt.
