The election campaign songs are quite common in India. The social media gets loaded with good number of songs from different regional languages during general elections. The phenomenon seems to be similar in the USA as well.
Sira Sri, the film lyricist who prominently writes for Telugu movies, has penned a song eulogizing Donald Trump. He mentioned the same on social media tweeting: ” I am privileged to write my FIRST EVER song in English to support POTUS’s re-election effort” and provided the link of the song.
He explained on his Facebook account stating, “I have been writing songs for regional parties in India during general elections from quite some time. But this is a unique and new experience. I could write a song for American elections in English on the behalf of Indian Americans endorsing Donald Trump. Thanks to NRIs Ravi Bonthu and Reddy Vijay”
