India has touched the 80 lakh mark of total Covid-19 cases with 49,881 new positive cases being reported in the last 24 hours. The total cases count now stands at 80,40,203. But the active cases count is 6,03,687 while 73,15,989 people have got discharged. 56,480 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours.
517 new Covid-19 deaths have been reported yesterday and with this the total death count is at 1,20,527. ICMR claimed that 10,75,760 samples were tested yesterday and the total samples tested so far is 10,65,63,440.
Telangana recorded 1,504 new cases and the total cases is at 2,35,656 including 2,16,353 recoveries, 1,324 deaths and 17,979 active cases. Andhra Pradesh has 26,622 positive cases while 7,78,614 got discharged.
