Terror Attack In France: Woman Beheaded, Two Others Killed

A knife attack near a church in the Nice city of France on Thursday morning killed at least three people. The terrorist attack took place at about 9 am local time.

One woman was beheaded in the attack while two other people were killed at the Basilica of Notre-Dame in Nice. The suspected attacker was reportedly shot by the police, but he is alive and on the way to the hospital.

The suspected attacker reportedly shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ while attacking the people. These attacks came as a wave of growing Muslim anger on France’s defense of the right to publish the cartoons and caricatures.

The background behind this terror attack is suspected to be the similar killing of Samuel Paty, the teacher who was beheaded in Paris Suburb for showing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad to his students in a class about freedom of speech.

An 18-year-old Chechen refugee Abdoulakh Anzorov attacked and beheaded him and shared a picture of the teacher’s decapitated head on his Twitter account. He was shot dead by police after he refused the orders.
