Europe is constantly witnessing terror attacks. After France, another radical attack happened in Austria’s capital Vienna. On Monday, terrorists attacked public places simultaneously at six locations and this has created a huge panic. The visuals of terrorists shooting people mercilessly have gone viral on social media.
The police entered the scene and shot dead one of the attackers. As per a social media post of the Vienna police, two people died and 15 were critically injured in this attack. The assault is considered to have an Islamic motive.
Austria’s Interior minister Karl Nehammer in his first comment about the attack said, it’s the hardest day for Austria in many years. We’re dealing with a terror attack the severity of which, thank God, we’ve not experienced in Austria in many years.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his deep shock about the incident. “Deeply shocked and saddened by the dastardly terror attacks in Vienna. India stands with Austria during this tragic time. My thoughts are with the victims and their families,” tweeted PM Modi.
