Just a few months ago, tension prevailed at a private engineering college in Gudlavalleru, Andhra Pradesh, when news broke that cameras were allegedly found inside the girls’ bathrooms on the campus. However, after a detailed forensic investigation, it was determined that there were no cameras inside the premises.
Fast forward to now, and there is another shocking development—this time in Telangana.
Last night, several social media posts reported that cameras had been discovered inside the girls’ bathrooms of a private college in Medchal, Telangana.
In related videos from the college campus, hundreds of students were seen protesting against the management. Unverified social media reports claim that nearly 300 sensitive videos from the female bathrooms had been captured.
It is alleged that this operation had been ongoing for three months, putting the privacy of several female students at risk. In response, female students on campus have been raising slogans like “We want justice.”
The police department has reportedly stated that they will file a case and launch an investigation based on the students’ complaints.
Given the sensitivity of the issue, no conclusions can be drawn at this stage. A detailed police and possibly forensic investigation could be commissioned by the government, depending on the severity of the matter. For now, we must patiently wait for justice to be served.
