Social media fame comes with a lot of disadvantages than perks in the current society. Recently, a garland seller from Indore named Monalisa Bhosle became a viral sensation on the internet when a video of her from Maha Kumbh Mela landed on social media platforms. People were going mad over her charming face, amber eyes and dusky skin tone. They also demanded filmmakers to cast her in their movies. They gave her the name “Maha Kumbh Monalisa”.
However, this instant fame turned into a bane for Monalisa. After going viral, youngsters who were at Kumbh Mela flocked to Monalisa’s garland selling point and harassed her for pictures. They literally mobbed around her, which made her highly comfortable. A video of her being harassed by the youth landed on social media.
Netizens are condemning such heinous acts by writing that there is no civic sense in India. They are calling out at youngsters for harassing Monalisa forgetting the purpose of their visit to Kumbh Mela.
