There are certain teams in the IPL that have made their home grounds a virtual bastion for them. One such team is Chennai Super Kings, which place at the famous Chepauk Stadium which was regarded as a stronghold for the team. Beating Chennai in their home ground was a monumental task back in the day.
But cut to know, Chennai is in such a calamitic situation that even RCB and Delhi are able to comprehensively beat Chennai at Chepauk.
Incidentally, RCB beat CSK in their home ground for the first time after 17 years. This happened in the game between RCB and Chennai last week when the Chennai team got beaten by 50 runs. This is the first time since 2008 that RCB beat Chennai in Chennai.
As if this wasn’t enough to add misery to Chennai fans, even Delhi Capital ended up beating them in their home ground. This happened in a one-sided match last afternoon as Delhi ended up beating Chennai for the first time after 15 years.
What was once a bastion for Chennai Super Kings has now become a hunting ground for opposition teams, and this really is a bad decline for one of the most celebrated teams in the league.
