IPL Preparing For Game Of Tournament? Superstar Returning?

There were two high-profile clashes in the ongoing season of IPL – Mumbai vs Chennai and Bengaluru vs Chennai. But strangely enough, both the games turned out to be damp squibs. While Chennai won the earlier game very easily, Bengaluru won the latter with a big margin. 

With both the high profile, clashes between top grade teams, turning out to be boring fests, there’s a lot riding on the game between Mumbai and Bengaluru today.

Mumbai and Bengaluru have historically had a fair bit of rivalry. Until a few years ago, the games between these two teams used to progress on a very tight and aggressive note. So this is setting a new precedent for the game tonight. 

More importantly, this is going to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, which is known for delivering some of the best last over thrillers in IPL. The same is being expected from this high profile class between these two top tier team today. 

Adding to the intensity, one of the greatest bowlers in the history of the game, Jaspreet Bumrah is making his come back into IPL with this game. He has been cleared to play by the medical team, and he has joined the squad as well. He is nearly confirmed to play against Bengaluru, and this will be his first game in a while. 

With almost 90% of the games this year ending up as boring one-sided affairs, it has to be seen if Mumbai and Bengaluru can create that spark that is much needed for the league. An intense last over thriller is exactly what fans need now.
