IPL Restart Shocker: Heavy Rain In Bengaluru!

After a brief layoff that was necessitated by the unrelenting anti terrorism activities carried out by the Indian authorities against Pakistan, the IPL 2025 season is set for restart.

The stage is firmly set for the resumption of the ongoing season of IPL today, May 17 with the game between Royal Challengers, Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders.

However, this much awaited resumption is not going to be a smooth one as the prevailing weather situation in Bengaluru is not at all positive.

Reportedly the city of Bengaluru is witnessing intense showers, and things are not looking very promising for the time being. As of now, the city is reportedly witnessing torrential rains at the stadium.

The positive point here is that the Bengaluru Stadium has the very best drainage system for any Stadium in India. If at all the rain is up and there is adequate time for the cleanup activities, then the game is expected to progress, albeit in a truncated manner.

This is a very crucial game for both Royal Challengers, Bengaluru and Kolkata as their fate rides on the same. If Bengaluru can win this game against Kolkata, they will become the first team to qualify for the play-offs. On the other hand, if Kolkata loses this game, they will be out of the tournament.

It has to be seen how the rain god will play out now as there is a lot of scepticism on whether this game would actually happen or not.
