Indian YouTuber arrested for leaking secrets to Pakistan

The Indian military and administration authorities are currently on higher due to the prevailing situation in the border with Pakistan. After the highly successful Operation Sindoor, the Indian authorities have been keeping a close eye on the operations of Pakistan, and also the internal affairs.

However, in what could be considered a shocking development an Indian YouTuber has been arrested for sharing highly sensitive information with Pakistani intelligence agencies.

Going into the story, YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra has been arrested by Hisar Police in a high-profile espionage case. She was reportedly in contact with a Pakistani High Commission officer named Danish, who allegedly facilitated her visit to Pakistan. Jyoti, who runs a travel channel, is accused of sharing sensitive information with Pakistan.

This lady runs a YouTube channel with the name Travel with Jo and she reportedly visited Pakistan multiple times in the past in the name of vlogging and video capturing. This is believed to be the time when she got in touch with the Pakistani intelligence agencies with her first official visit to the country being in 2023.

The FIR report states that Jyothi had shared sensitive information belonging to India with the Pakistani intelligence agencies through social media platforms, like WhatsApp, Snapchat, and telegram.

The authorities are stating that she posted a significant threat to the national security and broke the Official Secrets Act. The nature of the information that she shared with the Pakistani authorities will be established by the Indian investigative agencies in the investigation.
