Plane Crashed Into College Hostel; MBBS Students Lost Lives

In the most devastating news this afternoon, Air India confirmed the crash of their Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircraft bound to London. With 242 passengers and 12 members of crew, including the pilot and co-pilot on board, the flash reportedly crashed into a medical college hostel building adjacent to Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad.

As per the reports in the National media, the flight crashed into the BJ Medical College hostel, and the mess area has been impacted severely. Reportedly, a lot of medical students were in a mess, having their lunch at that time. It reportedly may have resulted in the loss of a lot of MBBS students. The local media is also reporting the loss of doctors.

The initial reports state that more than 100 people might have been dead on the spot with almost everyone injured. A lot of ambulances have rushed to the accident spot and then carried the survivors to the hospital.

Air India launched a passenger hotline number to assist the families of the passengers. The Central Aviation Minister and Union Home Minister rushed to Ahmedabad to assess the situation.
