Bengaluru CEO Says No Male Hires From These 4 States

A Bengaluru-based CEO has sparked a debate after announcing that his company will not hire male candidates from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

Karthik SG, founder of A1 Sports World, said the decision was taken after a serious discussion within the company. He later explained that the move followed an alleged incident involving a former male employee who, according to him, had behaved inappropriately with female staff despite warnings.

The CEO said the employee had a clean resume and background when he was hired but allegedly started creating problems after joining the company. He claimed the incident made the company rethink its hiring approach, especially because the organisation also works with young children.

However, his decision has drawn strong reactions online. Several users questioned the idea of excluding an entire group of male candidates based on their state of origin, arguing that the actions of one employee should not be applied to everyone from the same states.

The announcement has now turned into a wider discussion about workplace safety, hiring practices and whether an individual’s background should influence recruitment decisions.
