Air India Pilot Sumit Sabharwal Was Planning To Quit Job

Sumit Sabharwal was the pilot of the Air India plane that crashed near Ahmedabad Airport, seconds after it took off. The plane was carrying a total of 230 passengers and 12 crew members, including him. Unfortunately, there was only one survivor, and all of them lost their lives. Reportedly, Sumit is survived by his 88-year-old father, who is currently devastated.

As per the media reports, Sumit was planning to quit his job and take care of his father. Apparently, he recently told his father the same, which he confirmed with the media after the plane crash. Sumit resides in Mumbai and a Shivasena MLA paid a visit to check on Sumit’s father.

Sumit had spoken to his father before flying to London. “I’ll call you once I reach London,” he had told his father.

Sumit’s mother passed away two years ago and his father is residing alone.
