Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli have constantly been in the news for the remarks they make with regards to the industry. A complaint against Kangana and her sister was filed by casting Director and Fitness trainer Munawwar Ali Sayyed for hurting religious sentiments and promoting animosity between different religious groups. FIR under IPC sections 153-A, 295-A and 124-A, 34 were lodged by Mumbai Police against the sisters.
The duo was initially asked to appear on 26th and 27th of October and when they failed to do so they were asked to appear on 9th and 10th of November. The actress later informed the police that she wouldn’t be available till November 15th because of a wedding in their family. After not responding to the first and second notice, the Bandra police issued a third notice informing the actor to record statements in their absence.
Kangana’s lawyer informed the police that the actor was in Himachal Pradesh and busy with wedding preparations after their third notice on October 21st. The actor and her sister are yet to appear before the police or even issue the statement. The Mumbai Police has summoned Kangana and her sister on 23rd and 24th of November.
