Hyderabad was left shaken after the brutal killing of a 10-year-old girl in Kukatpally. The police have launched a multi-angle investigation into the case, which has quickly turned into one of the most disturbing crimes the city has witnessed in recent times.
Initial findings suggest that the crime may not have been committed by outsiders. Evidence from the scene indicates that the assailant could be someone living in the same building as the victim’s family. Investigators noted that there were no records of unknown entries through the main gate, leading to suspicion of an insider’s involvement. Four residents of the building have already been taken in for questioning, but no clear leads have emerged yet.
Authorities are also exploring other possible motives such as financial disputes or personal grudges. Rumors linking the case to superstitious practices and black magic have surfaced, but police sources say no credible evidence supports these claims. Forensic teams are analyzing fingerprints, mobile phone data, and other technical clues to crack the case.
According to the post-mortem report, the child suffered nearly 20 stab wounds, with 10 injuries concentrated around her neck, highlighting the sheer brutality of the attack. Doctors confirmed that the murder took place between 9:30 and 10:30 am on Monday. Neighbors reported hearing the girl’s screams around that time, reinforcing the suspicion that the act was pre-planned.
The girl’s final rites were performed in her native village in Sangareddy district, with grief and anger echoing among the community. Citizens are demanding swift action, urging the police to bring the culprits to justice without delay. Officials, meanwhile, have assured that all possible evidence is being examined and that the truth will be revealed soon.
