Trump Reveals He Wants To Go To Heaven

US President Donald Trump has been hogging the headlines since assuming the office at the beginning of this year for various reasons. From the beginning, he has been rooting for stricter immigration policy, to minimise the number of foreigners entering the country, as he believes that they would encroach into their territory and also the employment opportunities.

At the same time, Trump has also been suggesting the warring nations put an end to the conflicts and open dialogue to restore peace. In this endeavor, he claimed to have brokered peace between India and Pakistan, for which New Delhi has failed to give credit to him. He also tried to bring the Russia-Ukraine war too, stating that he want to end the war as part of his bid to win the Nobel Peace Prize, which seems to be a distant dream.

In a latest revelation, Trump said that the Ukraine peace deal could boost his chances of getting to heaven — joking that his chance of making it through the pearly gates is very low now.

Last week, he met the Russian President and yesterday he hosted the leaders from Ukraine and several European nations at the White House after which he said that his motivations were not all earthly. “I want to try and get to heaven if possible,” Trump told Fox News.

It is worth noting that going by the usual parameters, the three-times married, twice-impeached Trump is no saint. The 76-year-old billionaire President is embroiled in a number of scandals over the years and is the first president to have a criminal conviction, as he is involved in a hush money case giving payouts a porn star.

Despite all these misdoings, Trump began showing an religious inclination since surviving an assassination attempt last year. During his inauguration in January, he said that he had been saved by God to make America great again.

During his second term, Trump is sounding more religious, so much so that he had appointed an official spiritual adviser, Paula White, who has been reported to have led a number of prayer gatherings at the White House.

Trump’s Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that the President was serious about his Ukraine comments. “I think he wants to get to heaven, as I hope we all do in this room.” Reprotedly, Leavitt herself holds prayer sessions before her press briefings.
